The For Keeps Project

Pets. People. Peoria.

Who We Are

The For Keeps Project provides a crucial lifeline for Peoria County by offering free and low-cost services that address the root cause of pet surrender. We focus on uniting the community, bringing together animal welfare groups, activists, and residents to create a comprehensive network of support. Our approach is designed to save lives, prevent suffering, and build a stronger, more compassionate community where pets and people thrive together. By addressing local needs with a proven model of care and collaboration, For Keeps is not just a resource, it’s a movement toward a better future for all.

What We Do

The For Keeps Project offers free drive-up clinics that provide essential services including pet supplies, cat/dog food, and nail trims. Our long-term vision is to expand our offerings to include microchips, vaccinations, spay/neuter surgeries, treatment for illnesses, and emergency vet care—all at no cost to the families we serve. By lowering the financial barriers to care, we aim to improve pet health and enhance the connection between pets and their families.
